DesignatedQI LLC ("DesignatedQI," "we") helps businesses protect customer information, and we apply the same care to yours. This policy explains what we collect through designatedqi.com and our services, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Checklist signup: your first name, email address and industry, when you request a readiness checklist.
- Email and calls: what you share when you email us or talk with us on a call, such as your name, business name and questions.
- Purchases: if you buy the DIY Toolkit, Stripe processes the purchase as the seller of record and collects your name, email, billing address and payment details. We receive your name, email, business name if given, and order details, but never your full card number. Stripe also handles payment details when we invoice you for services.
- Training learners: if your employer enrolls you in our training, we receive your name and work email, and our training platform, TalentLMS, records your course progress, quiz scores, acknowledgments and certificates.
- Client engagements: information a client shares with us to deliver Program Setup or Managed QI services, which is also governed by our client services agreement.
- Website visits: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes basic technical data such as IP address and browser type to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. The site does not use analytics, advertising trackers or non-essential cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies for security.
How we use it
- To send the checklist you asked for and occasional related emails, which you can stop at any time.
- To answer your questions and schedule calls.
- To deliver products and services you buy, provide training and completion reports, and send invoices and receipts.
- To keep our site and systems secure, and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use it to build profiles.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, and only what they need:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or others' safety, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business. Training records are shared with the employer that enrolled the learner.
How long we keep it
- Email list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
- Purchase and invoice records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, generally up to 7 years.
- Training records: for the employer's subscription and 3 years after it ends.
- Client engagement records: as set out in the client services agreement.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any email.
- Ask us what personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@designatedqi.com. We will respond within 30 days. Some records, such as purchase records we must keep for taxes, can't be deleted until the retention period ends.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy law. Contact us and we will honor them as the law requires.
Security
We protect information with safeguards suited to its sensitivity, including multi-factor authentication on our accounts, encryption, limited access and secure deletion. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you if a breach affects it, as the law requires.
Where your information is processed
Our services are intended for businesses in the United States, and information is stored and processed in the U.S.
Children
Our site and services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with its date, and for significant changes we will email people on our list.
